Dance recital is just around the corner

The dance recital is just around the corner. My oldest daughter is graduating from her dance school (then next HS.. gasp) and will be performing a solo and my little girl will perform in her second show. What an exciting time. I am very grateful that her dance studio has a strict policy that no food or drinks are allowed back stage. They will provide nut free safe snacks and water to the little kids if needed. So thankful for this because it eases the anxiety of me leaving her back stage.

Fun in the Sun

Here in Jersey it was absolutely gorgeous today. So I said forget the laundry and headed out to the park with E. She loved running around with her friends and just enjoyed the lovely park we have in our town. Before the park in the afternoon I was vacuuming my oldest daughter's room and I received a text message from her. She is currently being a mother's helper for a family on their family vacation in Punta Cana! First class trip all paid for. How come I never had a job like that at 17? Lucky her!! So glad she has had the opportunity to travel to a tropical island. insert ( jealous) :D

Little Em turns 5

Where does the time go? I still can't believe my little girl is 5. I surprised her by blowing up balloons for her at night so when she woke up there was balloons all over. She had yes a cupcake for breakfast. Then she had preschool where she got to wear the birthday crown and ate her special pink nut free cookies. We had a small gathering at our house for more birthday treats after dinner and she opened her presents. She was so proud of turning 5! she told everyone she came across that it was her birthday. I would say she had a fabulous day. I know she might not remember the presents we gave her but I hope she remembers waking up to a room covered in balloons. The small things in life. Happy Birthday Emma xoxo

Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patty's Day

We were all kind of under the weather but we were able to celebrate with our go to mini nut free cupcakes. I purchase these cupcakes at our Shoprite Grocery store. The are made by Freed's bakery which is a nut free facility. These are great if my little girl has a Birthday party to attend and I don't have time to bake her a treat. This way she can still have cake like the other kids and still be safe.
